With the surprise Friday evening news (questions: why release this “yuge” news in the time traditionally reserved for “news dumps?” also, why announce around 2 1/2 years before the Democratic primary for governor in June 2021?) that Virginia Attorney General Mark Herring will be running for governor in 2021, here’s a fun/unscientific poll for you to vote on who you’d like Democrats to nominate for governor in 2021 – Herring, Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax (who is widely assumed to be interested in running for governor), Tom Perriello (haven’t heard any rumors on that front), Sen. Mark Warner (there have been rumors over the years that he might want to be governor again), or someone else? Also, please explain your thinking in the comments section if you can. Thanks.
