Here are a few Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Monday, February 6. Also, check out this amazing ad – as long as it’s not completely taken down from YouTube for supposed “copyright” reasons, as the original appears to have been – from last night’s Super Bowl game. Keep in mind that Republican’ts like Willard Romney wanted to let the U.S. auto industry go bankrupt, thus forfeiting the “game” to China, Germany, etc. Fortunately, President Obama and the Democrats were in charge, and kept fighting until “half time.” Now, let’s make sure Barack Obama and the Democrats are in charge during the “second half” as well.
*Keeping Virginians from voting (Blatant voter suppression by Virginia Republican’ts, with absolutely ZERO excuse, even a flimsy one, to do so.)
*O’Malley, McDonnell tangle over which party gets credit for economic recovery (Correct answer: the recession started on the Republicans’ watch, they then made their #1 priority “defeating Barack Obama” and therefore refused to do just about anything to help the economy recover. In fact, their austerity and other counterproductive policies, to the extent they were put into place, hurt the recovery. Any further questions?)

Key line: “By better than 2 to 1, Americans say the more they learn about Romney, the less they like him.” Also, “Obama’s overall approval rating stands at 50 percent, the highest in a Post-ABC News poll since a brief run above 50 percent immediately after Osama bin Laden was killed in early May.”
