Tomorrow is Chaz Nuttycombe’s birthday – happy birthday! – so he’ll be taking a break from his continuing, excellent analysis of Virginia General Assembly races. For his last, pre-birthday analysis thread, on HD26 (Harrisonburg, parts of Rockingham County, etc.; 53% Gillespie district), see below. I agree with Chaz that this one “will be a tough seat for Democrats to flip” this year, and that right now it’s “Likely R.” Still, a lot can change by November, so we’ll see.  No doubt a key to winning here will be turning out young people (e.g., JMU students), as Chaz points out. Fortunately, we have two strong candidates – Brent Finnegan and Cathy Copeland – both ready to roll on June 12 if they win the Democratic nomination to take on Del. Tony Wilt (R). So let’s see what we can do in this one!
