This is not exactly Virginia related – although there certainly are Virginians from Syria and/or the Levant region, Turkey, Iran, etc. – but I think it’s fascinating nonetheless, and worth posting. Also, I studied the Middle East intensively, lived in Israel for 6 months, and worked on covering the region from an energy perspective for 17 years, so I’m following this story closely.
