Gov. Ralph Northam: “Although we are navigating through an unprecedented time in history, we want to ensure that your accomplishments are celebrated in a big way. Whether you are graduating from high school or college, we know how important it is to commemorate one of life’s greatest milestones and show you how proud we are.
First Lady Pam Northam: “While many traditional graduation ceremonies will not be taking place, we want to take a moment to honor you, the next generation of leaders, with something new. Never before have we had all Virginia graduates celebrate together in one place and at the same time.
Gov. Northam: “We know that many of you are missing your teachers, mentors, friends and classmates. Pam and I have been impressed by the creative ways you all are using to stay in touch and share your thoughts memories and well wishes for the class of 2020 through social media. We invite you to continue the connection and join in a celebration by posting pictures, videos and comments with the hashtag #graduatetogetherVA. We hope you know how proud we are of everything you have accomplished. We want to thank
every one of you for doing your part to make your high school and college communities more compassionate, innovative, and thoughtful places to live and to learn.”
