Wednesday (3/17) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +1,327 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 598,468), +78 Hospitalizations (to 25,517), +50 Deaths (to 10,154)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (3/17), in Virginia we’re at 598,468 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 25,517 hospitalizations and 10,154 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went to 1,327 (+0.2%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 1,276 (+0.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 78 (+0.3%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 116 (+0.5%).  Deaths are reported +50, compared to +44 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 6,220,455 (up 17,531 from yesterday).
