Well, this is…uh, interesting. I’m just trying to remember the last time I saw a Democratic candidate attend a Republican Party committee meeting to ask Republican activists to vote in a Democratic primary (Shuttleworth tells the Republicans: “It’s an open primary, Americans of all faiths and stripes are invited to cross over; if you’re not Democratic all you have to do is request a Democratic ballot, and I would be delighted and honored to have your support“). Bizarre.
P.S. There’s also a contested Republican primary for U.S. Senate that same day, making this even weirder.
