Sunday News: “Outraged Students Demand Action on Gun Violence After Florida Massacre”; Crazy Trump Blames FL Shooting on Russia Investigation; Medicaid Expansion At Long Last in Virginia?

by Lowell

Here are a few national and Virginia news headlines, political and otherwise, for Sunday, February 18.

  • Now that Virginia Republicans FINALLY appear ready to expand Medicaid, will be interesting to see how VA GOP Chair John Whitbeck spins it after years of hysterical opposition…

Virginia Republicans have pissed away over $10 BILLION in Federal money by not expanding Medicaid. Now, “they” are ready? How many Virginians did Republicans muder in Virginia by not expanding Medicaid?

17 people died in Florida you say?

      1) According to the CDC, 480,000 die each year from cigarette smoking related diseases.
      2) Dacacrats Tim Kaine and Mark Warner have thrown those without healthcare to the dogs. No support or concern what so ever.
      3) Without a pledge by Dakacrats to “Made in America” and to American labor, and affordable healthcare, I do not intend to waste my gas driving to the polls in November.
      4) “F”em’ all.

Have fun sitting at home hating literally the only choices on the ballot I guess.

My new slogan is “Make Democrats Great Again”. What’s yours?

Yea, I could see me staying home and sitting this one out. I voted for Obama, Kaine, Warner. Waste of my time, except for Obama, who turned out pretty dam good. Apparently they do not need my vote. Not sure how long or how I can ever get over Dacacrats passing the Republicans budget for them.

Pelosi and Schumer need to find a nice rocking chair in a warm nursing home. Then, get a warm glass of milk, and spend some time with their great grandchildren.

You need to ask yourself why neither party will compromise on DACA. Its rigged. Republicans are not going to give up their cheap labor suppy. Democrats are not going to give up their votes. And, most important, neither party is going to give up those lobbyists dollars. Gun control is not obtainable at the current time, period, end of story. Stop letting your party play you as their stupid base.

Remember, “Make Democrats Great Again”! Say yes to “Made in America” and Universal Healthcare!

I guess I subscribe to a “vote for the better party” belief, and being a liberal, for me that means the Democrats. But do whatever makes you feel better I guess. Bye.

          • Voting is essential, but more than that, we need to be heavily involved in making our politics and our party as good as they can be. Sitting home is not – repeat, NOT! – an option. Ever.

Here’s an interesting article about the billion tree tsunami in Pakistan. Interestingly, a successful tree planting initiative turned into a political controversy

I’ve been very impressed by the Douglas High students. Who knows, maybe one of them will be President someday.
