Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Association Endorses Alfonso Lopez
Cites Lopez’s Experience, Understanding of the Issues
Today, the Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Association (APFPA) announced their endorsement of Alfonso Lopez for House of Delegates. APFPA represents the active and retired members of the Arlington County Fire Department. The organization represents 324 active firefighters and paramedics and 58 retired members.
“Alfonso Lopez understands the issues important to all of us who serve and is the candidate who will be the most effective advocate in the House of Delegates,” said Sean O’Connell, president of the Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Association. “Alfonso has been a leader in Arlington for many years and possesses the energy, integrity and dedication to make a difference in our community. I know that he will be a leader we can count on in Richmond.”
The Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Association joins leaders in Arlington and Fairfax in supporting Alfonso Lopez for Delegate. Among his many supporters, Lopez has earned the endorsements of Arlington County Board Chairman Chris Zimmerman, Arlington County Board Member Jay Fisette, Former Delegate Karen Darner (District 49), State Senator Mary Margaret Whipple (District 31), Arlington Sheriff Beth Arthur, and former Chairwoman of the Fairfax Board of Supervisors Kate Hanley.
“Firefighters and paramedics put their safety on the line every day to protect our homes and our families,” said Lopez. “I am honored to be endorsed by the Arlington Professional Firefighters and Paramedics Association. In Richmond, I will fight for the safety of our communities, including working to secure dedicated funds for the Department of Fire Protection Aid to Localities program.”
Alfonso Lopez is a candidate for Virginia House of Delegates in the 49th District. With nearly 20 years of legislative experience at the highest levels in federal and state government and a record of achievement in our community, Lopez has dedicated his life to public service and Virginia.
