As Bill Clinton says, President Obama “knew what would happen” if the raid on bin Laden had failed — “the downside would have been horrible for him.” But, thankfully, President Obama “took the harder and the more honorable path, and the one that produced…the best result.”
Meanwhile, what would Willard “Mitt” Romney have done? He actually criticized President Obama for vowing to strike Al Qaeda targets wherever they might be, including in Pakistan. Even worse, Romney said, “It’s not worth moving heaven and earth spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person [Osama bin Laden].”
Oh yeah, “Mitt?” Tell that to the heroic Navy SEALS who got bin Laden. Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of dedicated, hard-working American troops who have sacrificed and fought Al Qaeda for over a decade now. And tell that to the families of the thousands of Americans who lost their lives on that horrible day, 9/11/2001.
Let’s just all be thankful we have Barack Obama, not “Mitt” Romney, as our president.
