According to Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, “Mitt” Romney is being completely evasive regarding questions on immigration matters. But one thing’s for sure: Romney “hasn’t changed his core policy — he supports the self deportation of 11 million people (that means dividing children from their families); he would veto the DREAM Act; and very importantly, he thinks that the Arizona and Alabama laws should be a model for the nation.” As Mayor Villaraigosa notes, if Romney wanted to get this issue out of the way, he’d urge Congressional Republicans to pass the DREAM Act and comprehensive immigration reform. Why isn’t he doing that? I’d say that someone should ask him, but of course the pathological liar would just wriggle and weasel out of answering.
Also this morning, Teapublican hero Marco Rubio says that the draconian, anti-Latino Arizona immigration law should NOT be a model for the nation. That should make a few heads explode. See the “flip” for that video.
