Co-chair of Congressional Progressive Caucus supports Ebbin, calls for progressives to coalesce around his campaign
Alexandria, Va. – Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN), Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, endorsed the candidacy of Senator Adam Ebbin for the House of Representatives in Virginia’s Eighth Congressional District.
“Over the years that I have known Senator Adam Ebbin, he has proven himself to be a pragmatic progressive who gets results. He has been a determined advocate for our shared values, like a strong middle class and justice for all. We need more bridge builders like Adam to make sure Congress is serving the interests of working families,” said Congressman Keith Ellison.
“The support of a progressive stalwart like Rep. Ellison is important because my campaign is about bringing real progressive change to Washington.” stated Ebbin. “I am running to take my decade long record of getting progressive results to Congress. The 8th Congressional district needs a progressive who has proven they can get legislation passed, and I am proud that Rep. Ellison knows that I am that person.”
In addition to Ellison, Ebbin has won the endorsement of former state Senator Patsy Ticer (D-Alexandria), state Senator Chap Petersen (D-Fairfax), state Senator Dave Marsden (D-Fairfax), and Delegate Mark Sickles (D-Fairfax).
