Yesterda, Sen. Tim Kaine “formally announced legislation to hold people responsible if they sell or transfer a firearm to someone who is barred by federal law from possessing one, which he called ‘a step in the right direction.'” I commend Sen. Kaine for doing this, although sadly I have little hope that the NRA-controlled Congress will do anything to stem the tide of gun-related violence in this country, at least until we get some new Supreme Court justices…
