“What’s at Stake” Highlights LuAnn’s Values of Respect, Inclusion, Experience Bringing People Together
McLean – Today, the LuAnn Bennett for Congress campaign released a new ad in which Barack Obama outlines why small business owner and Democratic challenger LuAnn Bennett is “exactly the change we need.” Obama highlights LuAnn’s values of respect and inclusion, and reminds voters that “our shared values are on the ballot this election.” Watch the ad online here.
“In Northern Virginia we celebrate America’s diversity. We reject the politics of insults and division. That’s what as stake in this election. Values like respect and inclusion. And those are the values my friend LuAnn Bennett shares. So let’s send LuAnn to Congress.”
Obama continues by describing what LuAnn will bring to Congress, including how her background as a small business owner will help her work across the aisle to move our country forward. “LuAnn is a common sense, compassionate businesswoman who brings people together and gets things done.”
The ad closes with Obama saying, “our shared values are on the ballot Northern Virginia, and LuAnn Bennett is exactly the change we need.”
“Northern Virginians deserve a representative that shares their values, someone who will always stand up to hatred and bigotry not just when it’s politically expedient,” said Bennett spokesman Robert Howard. “Barack Obama knows it, and Northern Virginians know it too: LuAnn Bennett is the only common sense problem solver in this race who can bring real change to Congress.”
The ad comes on the heels of Barack Obama’s endorsement of LuAnn last week:
