Starting to see and hear about Democratic gubernatorial debates popping up. Here’s the first one – a FORUM, actually, whatever that means – I’ve received a flier for. Check it out!

On Tuesday, May 2nd, Progressive and labor groups from across the Commonwealth will host a forum with candidates Ralph Northam and Tom Perriello to discuss Virginia’s 2017 Governor’s race. The forum Chair and Moderator is Sandra J. Klassen, a progressive activist who led Virginia Democrats backing Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) at the Democratic National Convention. This forum will give both Democratic candidates for Governor a chance to share their positions, goals, and plans for Virginia’s highest office. Candidates will also respond to questions from progressive voters on topics ranging from income and wealth inequality, money in politics, unions and collective bargaining, climate change, healthcare, social justice, voting rights, public education and other important issues facing the Commonwealth.
