I just donated to Debra Rodman’s campaign, and here’s why:
- she’s smart and capable
- she gives a damn about those who need a hand – and a job
- she’ll defend women’s reproductive rights
- she’ll work for sensible gun control laws
- she’s a fighter with a good heart
- Clinton-Kaine won this district and Democrats have a shot at flipping it
Republican incumbent John O’Bannon, on the other hand:
- voted “yes” on HR 268, the “Day of Tears” legislation that urges Virginians to lower flags to half-staff on the anniversary of Roe v Wade
- proudly trumpeted his “A” rating from the NRA
- opposed the ACA and voted against Medicaid expansion
- spread falsehoods about Planned Parenthood
