Five bills were introduced today and deserve some attention, as they are excellent. See below for the bills by Delegates Elizabeth Guzman (in-state tuition for individuals holding a student or temporary visa), Chris Hurst (immunity of employers who report violent behavior), Debra Rodman (health insurance nondiscrimination for transgender status), Kathy Tran (protection against sexual harassment in the workplace as part of the Virginia Human Rights Act) and Rip Sullivan (expanding net energy metering in schools). Now, of course Republicans will probably kill all these great bills, because that’s how they roll, but thanks nonetheless to the Democratic Delegates who introduced these important bills.
