Wow, that’s crazy/scary; glad everyone’s ok! In stark contrast, I’m rooting for Edwin Santana to bust through the ceiling, figuratively speaking of course, in his VA-01 Democratic primary on Tuesday. I mean, Marines don’t let little things like a bedroom ceiling collapse stop them, right? 😉 Go Edwin!
Wanted to share something scary with you all today. Around 7:40 this morning the ceiling in our bedroom collapsed. It was minutes after I left the room with the kids, and seconds after Heather got up to use the bathroom. This was completely unexpected and the “what if” scenarios are terrifying running through my head.
You never know what life is going to throw at you, and as we GOTV and make this last big push I wasn’t expecting to have to deal with my house caving in.
If this were any other campaign, I’d be worried, but I’m not. I know we’ve got the best team out there, and y’all have stepped up so many times in the past. If you can lend me a hand by knocking one extra door this weekend, it would help tremendously.
Things like this remind us not to take anything for granted, even the roof over our heads.
