Elaine Luria Launches Her Fourth TV Ad, “True Leader”
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Today, Elaine Luria released her fourth TV ad of the general election. “True Leader” features testimonials from James, a former chief petty officer who served under Elaine, Jessica, a Mermaid Factory employee, and Robert, Elaine’s husband. The ad highlights Elaine’s leadership in the military where she put country above party and her experience as a small business owner who cares about her community and treats her employees with respect. “I led my command and run my small business on a simple philosophy: Be Good. Do Good Work. That is what Congress must refocus on so that we can tackle the challenges facing our country. Democrats and Republicans in Washington need to put country over party and work together to expand access to affordable health care, create jobs in our community, and safeguard Social Security and Medicare for this generation and the next,” said Elaine Luria.
The 30-second ad will run for several weeks on local stations.
Elaine Luria is the Democratic nominee for Virginia’s Second Congressional District, which includes all of Accomack and Northampton Counties, the cities of Virginia Beach and Williamsburg, as well as portions of Norfolk, Hampton, and York and James City Counties. The district supported Governor Ralph Northam by 4 percentage points last November and is rated as a TOSS-UP race by non-partisan election forecasters at Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball, Politico, the Cook Political Report, and CNN Politics, making it one of the most likely seats to flip in 2018.
