See below for the latest data, just published, from the Virginia Department of Health on the state’s current COVID-19 reported cases, hospitalizations and deaths. So, at this point ,we’re at 460 total reported cases, 65 hospitalizations and 13 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 69 (+18%) in the latest statistics, which is actually a slower rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 101 (+35%). So maybe that’s a hopeful sign? As for hospitalizations, they went up 6 (+10%), from 59 to 65, which is a much slower rate of increase than the previous day (up 14, or +31%). Deaths, unfortunately, went up 4 (from 9 to 13), compared to an increase of 3 (from 6 to 9) the previous day. So that’s bad news, obviously. But at least the slower rates of increase in reported cases and hospitalizations seems encouraging.
