Slides From New UVA COVID-19 Model Show Why Those Urging Rapid Lifting of Restrictions Are So, So Wrong

These slides from the University of Virginia’s new COVID-19 modeling work really demonstrate why people – mostly Republicans, like State Sen. Jill Vogel for instance – who are chomping at the bit to lift social distancing and other restrictions are so, so wrong. Bottom line: social distancing efforts are working, while lifting them too soon “can lead quickly to a second wave.” So let’s do this right, be responsible, listen to people who know what they’re talking about (health professionals, NOT morons like Trump and Fox “News”), and get through this without disaster…
