Video: 2018 VA GOP U.S. Senate Nominee Equates “Antifa” with Black Lives Matter; Compares Those Who Take Down Confederate Monuments to “Taliban,” Maoist China

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Yep, this is the Virginia GOP to a “t”; their 2018 U.S. Senate nominee, and also the long-time Prince William County Board Chair, neo-Confederate Corey Stewart, ranting and raving about how “Antifa” (his all-purposes bogeyman, whatever it is) and Black Lives Matter are supposedly the same exact thing. Which, of course, they absolutely are not. In fact, Black Lives Matter currently has an approval rating of +28 points (compared to negative 20 points for the “Tea Party,” by the way).

Oh, and as an added bonus, neo-Confederate Corey compares those who take down Confederate monuments to the Taliban and Mao. Of course, this same guy was probably cheering, along with most Americans, when Iraqis toppled statues of Saddam Hussein in 2003 or when Germans tore chunks out of the Berlin Wall in 1989. But defending monuments to white supremacy, the Confederacy, Jim Crow, etc. here in Virginia? Neo-Confederate Corey’s all about that! Gee, wonder why that might be…hint hint.
