Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA09), Who Tested Positive for COVID-19 Two Weeks Earlier, Attends Packed GOP Dinner…Without Masks or Social Distancing

Masks and social distancing were "encouraged" at this event, which featured former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, but almost nobody appears to have complied.

This looks really safe, huh? Check out the following photos of the Giles County GOP’s “Stafford-Morris Dinner” this past Friday night in Pearlsburg, Virginia. Note, in particularly, the sign at the entrance to the event, which says “Masks Encouraged” and encourages people to “[follow] social distancing guidelines.” Then, check out the photos of what people *actually* did at the event – minimal to no masks or social distancing to be seen. And that, by the way, includes both former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R) and also Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA09), who as of July 14, had tested positive for COVID-19. No masks or social distancing for him, either. Gotta love these Republican “superspreader” events, huh?

P.S. Even if Griffith is COVID-19 negative at this point, he should absolutely know better than to be in a room filled with unmasked people, any of whom could be COVID-19 positive!
