State Sen. Amanda Chase, a Virginia GOP candidate for governor in 2021, speaking to her (not-socially-distanced, not-masked) supporters this weekend:

“We are going back into session on Tuesday, August the 18th. So I’ve got a request, pray for me. Pray that I don’t hurt somebody while I am there [laughter – her supporter clearly think that intimations of violent behavior are HI-larious!]. They do kind of tick me off…They really do make me angry a lot. I call this the spirit of slap, it comes over me sometimes…”
