Attorney General Herring has taken a national leadership role in pushing back against President Trump’s calls urging his supporters “to go to the polls and watch very carefully” and reassuring voters that intimidation and harassment at polling places is illegal and will not be tolerated.
Over the past week he has spoken on numerous occasions about both state and federal laws that protect voters against harassment and intimidation:
Leading up to the election, Attorney General Herring will continue to make sure voters know that they are protected, that our electoral system is safe and secure, and that their vote will be counted this fall, whether it’s in person or by mail.
