Congresswoman Elaine Luria’s Newest Ad “Fix” Shows Her Commitment To Delivering Results
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Today, Congresswoman Elaine Luria’s campaign announced the launch of her newest television ad that showcases the Congresswoman’s commitment to solving problems and delivering results for Coastal Virginians.
“I came to Washington to solve problems and work across the aisle to deliver results for Virginians, and I’ve done just that in my first term,” said Congresswoman Luria. “In my first year in office I passed bipartisan legislation to fix an injustice in the GOP tax law that unfairly raised taxes on the children of fallen soldiers and worked to finally repeal the tax on widow’s survivors’ benefits.”
A 20-year Navy veteran, Congresswoman Elaine Luria has spent her first term serving on the House Armed Services Committee as Vice Chair of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee as well as the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, where she serves as Chair of the Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs Subcommittee. She passed 7 bills in her first term, with two more on the President’s desk currently. Her legislative accomplishments directly benefit service members, veterans and their families.
Congresswoman Elaine Luria represents Virginia’s Second Congressional District, which includes all of Accomack and Northampton Counties, the cities of Virginia Beach and Williamsburg, as well as portions of Norfolk City, Hampton, and York and James City Counties. Congresswoman Luria serves on the House Armed Services Committee where she is Vice-Chair of the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee and on the House Veterans Affairs Committee where she is the Chair of the Disability and Memorial Assistance Subcommittee.
