Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA07) Rips House Rs’ Amicus Brief: “you willingly follow suit in defending [Trump’s] baseless lies and his degradation of our electoral process”

Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA07) responds to 106 of her “colleagues” in the U.S. House who “signed this amicus brief” to the U.S. Supreme Court “in support of Texas’ bid to overturn President-elect Joe Biden’s win.” According to Rep. Spanberger:

“You have a responsibility to lead and protect our Republic and all who call her home. And yet, rather than lead with that truth and demonstrate decency and dignity in the face of his loss, you willingly follow suit in defending his baseless lies and his degradation of our electoral process. Our nation deserves better. May you feel more responsible to the American people than you feel afraid of one man and his Twitter account.”
