Sunday (12/20) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +3,876 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 306,848), +54 Hospitalizations (to 16,878), +7 Deaths (to 4,650)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (12/20), in Virginia we’re at 306,848 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 16,878 hospitalizations and 4,650 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 3,876 (+1.3%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 3,584 (+1.2%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 54 (+0.3%), which is a slower rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 140 (+0.8%).  Deaths are reported +7, compared to +45 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 3,937,968 (up 49,299 from yesterday).
