So, at this point (1/13), in Virginia we’re at 412,545 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 19,470 hospitalizations and 5,552 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 4,598 (+1.1%) in the latest statistics, which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 4,561 (+1.1%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 144 (+0.8%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 144 (+0.8%). Deaths are reported +75, compared to +84 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 4,674,630 (up 33,663 from yesterday).
