So, at this point (2/6), in Virginia we’re at 526,176 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 22,035 hospitalizations and 6,773 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 4,709 (+0.9%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly slower rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 5,069 (+1.0%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 142 (+0.7%), which is the same rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 144 (+0.7%). Deaths are reported +41, compared to +82 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 5,410,417 (up 39,368 from yesterday).
