Thursday (2/11) Virginia Data on COVID-19 Finds +3,899 Confirmed/Probable Cases (to 541,018), +145 Hospitalizations (to 22,615), +26 Deaths (to 6,958)

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (2/11), in Virginia we’re at 541,018 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 22,615 hospitalizations and 6,958 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases went up 3,899 (+0.7%) in the latest statistics, which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when reported cases were up 3,003 (+0.6%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 145 (+0.7%), which is a slightly faster rate of increase than the day before, when hospitalizations were up 131 (+0.6%).  Deaths are reported +26, compared to +34 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 5,518,735 (up 32,599 from yesterday).
