See below for video of Gov. Northam earlier today in Fairfax, as he ceremonially signed early childhood care and education legislation (note: the audio quality is poor for the first few minutes, but then someone flips a switch or something and it’s ok). Also speaking were First Lady Pam Northam and Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn. As Speaker Filler-Corn tweeted, “This bill eases the burden on parents juggling childcare & working to put food on the table. Providing vital support for our economy, working families & the most at-risk children.” Also, Sen. Louise Lucas tweeted, “As chair of Senate Education and Health, it was my pleasure to attend the bill signing ceremony to expand Childcare Assistance to working families with the most at-risk children.” Good stuff!
