So, at this point (5/20), in Virginia we’re at 671,916 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 29,394 hospitalizations and 11,068 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 591 (+0.1%) in the latest statistics, the same rate of increase as yesterday’s +491 (+0.1%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 55 (+0.2%), the same rate of increase as yesterday’s +49 (+0.2%). Deaths are reported +20 compared to +6 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,311,041 (up 15,922 from yesterday).
