Thursday (7/15) Virginia Data on COVID-19: Still Relatively Low, But…Highest New 1-Day COVID Cases (+440) Since 5/25; Highest 10-Day New COVID Cases (+2,860) Since 6/3

See below for graphics of the newly posted COVID-19 numbers by the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association. So, at this point (7/15) in Virginia we’re at 684,054 total reported – confirmed plus probable – cases (note that actual cases, as well as deaths, could be higher, maybe even a LOT higher, based on stories like this one in the NY Times), 30,917 hospitalizations and 11,471 deaths from COVID-19. The number of reported cases was 440 (+0.06%) in the latest statistics, compared to yesterday’s 412 (+0.06%). As for hospitalizations, they went up 17 (+0.06%), compared to yesterday’s +39 (+0.13%).  Deaths are reported +4 compared to +8 the previous day. The number of PCR-ONLY test results is currently at 7,819,213 (up 12,938 from yesterday).
