President Obama Lays Out What’s at Stake In This Election & Urges Virginians to Vote for Terry

MCLEAN, VA – Terry for Virginia today released a new TV ad “Our Values” featuring President Barack Obama ahead of his campaign stop in Richmond this Saturday to mobilize Virginians during early voting. In the ad, President Obama highlights Terry’s strong record and values on expanding voting rights, fighting climate change and protecting a woman’s right to choose. He reminds Virginians what’s at stake in this election and urges them to vote for Terry.

Hundreds of thousands of Virginians have already voted in this election, and Terry for Virginia is organizing supporters across the Commonwealth throughout early vote. The campaign has knocked on more than one million doors to date, including 100,000 doors last weekend alone. Virginians can visit iwillvote.com/VA to find their early voting and election day polling location and make a plan to vote by November 2.

TRANSCRIPT

President Obama: Virginia, you have a lot of responsibility this year. Not only are you choosing your next governor, but you’re also making a statement about what direction we’re headed in as a country.

I know Terry McAuliffe and I can tell you as governor no one worked harder for their state.

And I also watched Terry stand strong on the values we all care about: protecting every citizen’s right to vote, fighting climate change, and defending a woman’s right to choose.

So make sure you vote and join me in supporting Terry McAuliffe.
