Virginia COVID-19 Cases Up 134,878 (!) Over Past 10 Days; VHHA Has Hospitalizations Over 3,000 For First Time Since January 2021

See below for the latest COVID-19 statistics for Virginia, courtesy of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA). As you can see, total cases hit 1,202,727, up 15,840 since the Wednesday morning report and up a massive 134,878 over the past 10 days – the  second-highest 10-day increase since the pandemic began. As for hospitalizations, according to VDH, we’re now at a cumulative 43,755, up 306 from the Wednesday morning statistics (also, VHHA now has hospitalizations at over 3,000 for the first time since January 2021). And deaths are at 15,642, up 11 from the Wednesday morning statistics.
