Virginia COVID-19 Cases Up a Massive 196,738(!) the Past 10 Days; Cumulative Hospitalizations at 45,375, Deaths at 15,750

See below for the latest COVID-19 statistics for Virginia, courtesy of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA). As you can see, total cases hit 1,315,256, up 19,836 since the Tuesday morning report and up a massive 196,738 over the past 10 days – the  highest 10-day increase since the pandemic began. As for hospitalizations, according to VDH, we’re now at a cumulative 45,375, up 225 from the Tuesday morning statistics (no new numbers yet this morning, as of 9:20 am, but as of yesterday, VHHA had hospitalizations at 3,845 – the highest ever in the entire pandemic). And deaths are at 15,750, up 35 from the Tuesday morning statistics.
