After Confirmation of Ketanji Brown Jackson, Loudoun GOP Chair Claims Historically African American Sorority Delta Sigma Theta Is “taking control of our country at all levels of govt”

Are the VA GOP and/or Gov. Youngkin planning to condemn this or what?

In the following tweets, Loudoun County GOP Chair Scott Pio (the same guy who asked back in October 2011, “Do you think the sea level would lower, if we just took all the boats out of the water?”) attacks Delta Sigma Theta — “a historically African American sorority,” and “one of the nation’s preeminent service-based sororities, comprised primarily of Black, college-educated women with more than 300,000 initiated members and over 1,000 chartered chapters worldwide.” In this case, the Loudoun Republican Party Chair absurdly accuses Delta Sigma Theta of “taking control of our country at all levels of govt,” following the confirmation as a Supreme Court Associate Justice of Ketanji Brown Jackson, who had been endorsed by Delta Sigma Theta. And, for good measure, the Loudoun GOP Chair adds that “even the Loudoun County board of Supervisors Chairman [sic] is a Delta.”

In short, WTF? Is the Loudoun Republican Party Chair actually arguing that it’s a BAD thing for more women – and in this case, specifically, Black women –  to hold important positions in government?!? And is the Virginia Republican Party ok with this? How about Gov. Glenn Youngkin? Are they going to condemn this crap, just like they rightly condemned this racist and demanded his resignation?
