See below and here for an excellent Twitter thread by Sam Shirazi on how “voting will not change everything, but it can have huge impacts,” such as when Democrats gained a “trifecta” in Virginia and passed HUNDREDS of pieces of progressive and enviro/clean energy legislation into law in just two years. And yes, we can do that again, whether at the state or federal level, if we put Democrats in charge (note: of course the US Senate needs to abolish or significantly reform the filibuster to get stuff done at the federal level, but that can only be accomplished if we add a few more Democratic Senators to the current, 50-50 situation with Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema)…
