Luria’s re-election campaign ends Q2 with $4.3 million cash on hand
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Today, Congresswoman Elaine Luria announced her biggest fundraising quarter to date, raising more than $1.85 million in the second quarter of 2022 and far exceeding previous campaign records.
With this record-breaking haul, Congresswoman Luria’s re-election campaign will end the second quarter with more than $4.3 million cash on hand going into the November election for Virginia’s Second Congressional District.
Congresswoman Luria’s campaign continues to be fueled by grassroots support, with 8,506 individual donors and 80% of donors giving $50 or less.
“Our campaign was carried to victory with grassroots support in 2018, and we will continue to be fueled by grassroots supporters,” Congresswoman Luria said. “I remain committed to delivering for Hampton Roads and putting Coastal Virginians over politics.”
On Sunday, Congresswoman Luria welcomed Majority Whip James E. Clyburn to Coastal Virginia to greet voters, community leaders, supporters, and local elected officials in Suffolk and Chesapeake.
Last week, Congresswoman Luria released her first television ad of the 2022 cycle titled “Oath.” The one-minute ad highlights the oath that Congresswoman Luria took at 17 years old to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and how she continues to live up to that oath in Congress.
