Spanberger Statement Marking First Day of Early Voting in Virginia
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — U.S. Rep. Abigail Spanberger today released the following statement to mark the start of early voting in Virginia.
“Over the next 45 days, Virginians will have the chance to participate in our democracy by voting early.
“No matter who you vote for, it is my promise that when I am reelected to Congress this November, I will continue to hold myself accountable to all Virginians. I will continue to listen to the concerns of my constituents and address those concerns with commonsense legislation that will help make their lives better.
“The stakes of this election could not be higher, and the contrast between my opponent and [me] could not be more clear. In Congress, I remain committed to curbing inflation, growing Virginia’s economy, keeping our communities safe, protecting a woman’s right to choose, and ensuring American competitiveness in the 21st century. Remember to vote!”

Spanberger — a former CIA case officer and federal law enforcement officer — is working tirelessly in the U.S. House to build coalitions and pass legislation that will improve the lives of Virginians, keep Virginians safe, uphold freedoms, and help grow the Commonwealth’s economy. Earlier this year, she was once again ranked the most bipartisan Member of Congress from Virginia and among the top five most bipartisan Members of the U.S. House overall.
Spanberger has proven to be the most accessible candidate in the race for Virginia’s Seventh Congressional District (VA-07). Since the start of the year, Spanberger has met with Virginians across all 11 localities in Virginia’s Seventh District to listen to the concerns of her constituents.
