Congresswoman Luria Releases 10th TV Ad of Cycle, Highlights Her Bipartisan Record of Delivering For Coastal Virginia

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA –Today, 20-year Navy veteran and former small business owner Congresswoman Elaine Luria (VA-02) announced the release of “Real Virginia: Elaine,” which highlights her commitment to remaining an independent and bipartisan voice in Congress that delivers for all Coastal Virginians.

“From working across the aisle with Republicans to expand health care services for our veterans to securing historic investments in our infrastructure and adding billions to the defense budget, I am proud to be an independent voice in Congress that works in a bipartisan fashion to get results for all Coastal Virginians,” Congresswoman Luria said. “I will continue to put people over politics and deliver for Hampton Roads.”

“Real Virginia: Elaine” is Congresswoman Luria’s 10th television ad of the 2022 campaign cycle.

Congresswoman Luria has a proven record of delivering for Coastal Virginia in Congress. From passing the PACT Act to cutting prescription drug costs and securing millions in Community Project Funding, to protecting the right to choose and adding $37 billion to the defense budget, she will continue to put people over politics.

While Congresswoman Luria delivers, Jen Kiggans continues to double down on her extreme positions that are out of touch with Coastal Virginians. She has refused to say that Joe Biden is the president and supports a national abortion ban introduced by Congressional Republicans.

Congresswoman Elaine Luria represents Virginia’s Second Congressional District, which includes all of Accomack and Northampton Counties, the cities of Virginia Beach and Williamsburg, as well as portions of Norfolk City, Hampton, and York and James City Counties. The new district lines will include all of Accomack, Isle of Wight, and Northampton Counties, the cities of Franklin, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach, as well as portions of Southampton Counties and the city Chesapeake. Congresswoman Luria serves as the Vice Chair on the House Armed Services Committee as well as on the Seapower and Projection Forces Subcommittee and Readiness Subcommittee, the House Veterans Affairs Committee where she is the Chair of the Disability and Memorial Assistance Subcommittee, and the House Committee on Homeland Security. In July of 2021, Congresswoman Luria was appointed to serve on the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol. In 2020, Congresswoman Luria was elected to a second term. Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District has been added to the DCCC’s Frontline program for 2022.
