Richmond, VA — In case you missed it, Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw, Senate Democratic Caucus Chair Mamie Locke, House Minority Leader Don Scott, House Democratic Caucus Chair Charniele Herring held a joint press conference to highlight their shared “Vision for Virginia” as they head into the 2023 session.

The “Vision for Virginia” is a series of joint values, focused on creating an economy that works for hardworking Virginians, protecting our freedoms from extremism, delivering a world-class education, and keeping Virginia communities safe and healthy.

“Today we stand here today to talk about our priorities, our vision, and our goals going into the 2023 session to make Virginia the best place to earn and learn,” said Majority Leader Dick Saslaw. “This session Democrats are going to fight for an economy that works for our middle class, Virginia families, and businesses across the Commonwealth.”

“As you have all heard before me, Democrats have a plan to deliver for Virginians, protect our freedoms, and enact meaningful change for our Commonwealth,” said Senate Democratic Chair Mamie Locke. “Republicans want to pass a flurry of abortion bans and restrictions, and I am here to say – not on our watch.
