A second round of digital ads launched in SD31 and HD97 highlight the danger of electing anti-abortion candidates

Richmond, Va – This week, Planned Parenthood Virginia PAC launched a second round of digital ads, this time for endorsed candidates Russet Perry in Senate District 31 (SD31) and Michael Feggans in House District 97 (HD97). The elections in SD31 and HD97 are critical in the fight against anti-abortion candidates and their agenda to pass a Virginia abortion ban.

Statement from Jamie Lockhart, Executive Director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia:

“Near daily attacks on reproductive rights across the country remind Virginians that we are in the fight of our lives to retain our right to legal abortion in the Commonwealth. We know that we can win that fight if we elect pro-reproductive rights champions like Russet Perry and Michael Feggans to the Senate and House. We can’t afford Juan Pablo Segura and Karen Greenhalgh in Richmond to enact their extreme agenda to ban abortion. We want to ensure that voters know that both of these candidates have demonstrated that they would take away our rights, despite how they are now presenting themselves. Abortion is on the ballot, and we know Virginians have protecting their rights top of mind as they continue casting their ballots through November 7th.”
