Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA11) is correct about this:

“There is zero evidence of any malfeasance on the part of President Biden…Kevin McCarthy is feeding the right-wing outrage machine so he can placate his craziest Members who are threatening to oust him from his post. It’s a sham, it’s pathetic, and the American people know it.”

Although I do wonder if most people “know it,” given how horrendously bad the political media in this country is. For instance, the Washington Post reported on McCarthy’s move earlier today without even mentioning, for many paragraphs, that there’s ZERO evidence to justify impeachment, that it’s McCarthy doing Trump’s bidding and caving to the most far-right voices in his caucus, etc.  Disgraceful.
