Excellent Twitter thread by former SEIU Virginia 512 President David Broder, on how important tomorrow’s General Assembly elections are for working people in Virginia!

For decades, Virginia was the worst state for workers in the nation.

Union members and allies fought tirelessly to elect champions and hold them accountable, and we moved from 51st to 22nd.

However, in just 2 years under Gov. Youngkin, we’ve fallen back to 28th.

If extremist Republicans win the VA State House and Senate tomorrow, they’ll work with Gov Youngkin to repeal:

❌ Collective bargaining rights
❌ $15 min wage
❌ Wage theft protections

They’ll move us backwards to being the worst state for working families in the nation.

In local elections in Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William, elected leaders who passed historic collective bargaining rights for frontline county social workers, nurses, firefighters, and educators, are running for re-election against GOP challengers who would repeal CB

That’s why it’s so important that you make your voice heard and vote in Virginia’s state and local elections!

Vote tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7 between 6 am – 7 pm.
