New digital ad hits Trump’s efforts to rip mothers from children

On the anniversary of the implementation of Trump’s family separation, Team Biden-Harris released a new digital ad across key battleground states slamming Donald Trump for his promise to resurrect his cruel policy of separating children from their parents.

The new ad, titled “Ripped Apart”, details the horrors of Trump’s government policy of family separation, and how he’s proudly campaigning to go further if he’s reelected. The ad also highlights President Biden slamming Donald Trump for ripping mothers from their children, and the work his administration is doing to this day to reunite mothers with their children.

The digital ad will target Latino voters across the battleground states.

The following is a statement from Biden-Harris 2024 Campaign Manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez:

“Six years ago, Donald Trump architected the systematic government policy of ripping innocent children from their mothers. Since then, Trump hasn’t just justified these cruel policies – he’s celebrated them.

“To this day, President Biden is still working tirelessly to reunite children with their families – it’s the enduring legacy of Trump, who made it his mission to go after mothers and kids under the guise of being ‘tough’ on immigration. Let me be very clear: separating families isn’t ‘tough’ – it’s the work of a weak, desperate man whose only grip on power is by attacking the most vulnerable.

“If Trump is reelected, the chaos and cruelty we saw in his first term is the floor: he’ll go even further to attack and demonize immigrants, while doing nothing to address the real issues plaguing our broken immigration system. He’s betting that his cruelty and divisiveness is a winning tactic at the ballot box, but like they’ve done in election after election, the American people will prove Donald Trump wrong and expose him for who he truly is: a coward, a bully, and a loser.”
