Virginia House Democrats Build Major Fundraising Lead, Drive Momentum in Battleground Districts |
RICHMOND,VA—Today, the Virginia House Democratic Caucus announced a commanding fundraising lead over House Republicans—bringing in more than $1.1 million in the first quarter, more than seven times the GOP’s $156,048 haul.
The news comes just days after a Virginia Mercury report revealed a Republican Caucus “fighting for political survival,” as vulnerable incumbents scrambled to rebrand under a so-called “Purple Caucus” to distance themselves from the Trump/Elon agenda. The latest numbers reflect a surging grassroots movement and growing momentum behind House Democrats—and a clear sign that Virginians are rejecting the far-right policies of the Trump/Elon administration and the Virginia Republicans enabling them. “Virginia House Republicans are terrified of losing in November—and they should be,” said Campaigns Chair Dan Helmer. “Their agenda is out of step with Virginians, and no last-minute attempt to distance themselves from President Trump and Elon Musk will save them. Voters can see right through it. Democrats are outraising and outworking them—and we’re ready to win in November.” House Democratic Battleground challengers who outraised their Republican opponents in Q1:
