Wow, impressive!

Virginia House Democrats Announce Record-Breaking $9+ Million TV Reservation
Richmond, VA — Today, the Virginia House Democratic Caucus announced that its candidates have reserved over $9 million in television advertising across the Norfolk, Richmond, Roanoke, and Washington, D.C. media markets — including more than $8.5 million in the final three weeks of the election. This marks the earliest and largest single-day TV reservation in Caucus history.

This is the earliest fall airtime reservation made by any campaign or committee in Virginia’s 2025 election cycle — a clear signal of how seriously House Democrats are taking the fight to defend and expand their majority this November.

The announcement comes on the heels of a record-breaking second-quarter fundraising haul, with House Democrats raising over $3.8 million — more than double their Republican opponents — and entering the third quarter with a $2 million cash advantage.

“This is how we not only protect our majority, but expand it,” said Speaker Don Scott. “House Democrats aren’t just reacting — we’re setting the pace. This ad buy is about making sure voters hear directly from us, early and often, about what we’re doing to protect their freedoms, lower costs, and move Virginia forward.”

“You don’t win tough fights by showing up late — you win by planning ahead, building early, and staying relentless,” said Campaigns Chair, Delegate Dan Helmer. “This investment is about discipline and urgency. We’re making sure our candidates have the resources they need to connect with voters, tell their stories, and win.”

Virginia House Democrats are contesting the largest legislative battleground in recent history, with candidates running in all 100 House districts and targeting 18 Republican-held seats across the Commonwealth.
