See below for statements from Mason District (Fairfax County) Supervisor Andres Jimenez and the Fairfax County Democratic Committee on the disturbing story that blew up yesterday, about “video that surfaced in Falls Church showing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent pointing a firearm at a woman through her car window.” As Supervisor Jimenez says, what happened ” is deeply disturbing and demands accountability”; “DHS’s version of events does not match the video, and residents can see that for themselves.” Also, of course, “This incident is not isolated; it’s part of a larger, dangerous pattern, and I’m calling on federal officials to end it.” And as the Fairfax Democrats put it, “When federal agents can point a loaded weapon at a U.S. citizen following a verbal exchange, and then make allegations about her conduct inconsistent with available video, our community’s safety and trust in federal law enforcement are both at risk.” Well said by both; the question now is, will there be ANY accountability whatsoever, ANY consequences, and ANY changes to ICE’s reckless behavior pattern that we’ve seen repeatedly across the country since Trump took office in January 2025???
STATEMENT FROM MASON DISTRICT SUPERVISOR ANDRES JIMENEZ ON ICE CONFRONTATION WITH FALLS CHURCH WOMAN
ANNANDALE, Va. – The video that surfaced in Falls Church showing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent pointing a firearm at a woman through her car window is deeply disturbing and demands accountability.
The woman, Carolina Molina, is a U.S. citizen and Northern Virginia native who serves our community as a licensed professional counselor, conducting psychological evaluations in immigration cases. Molina had stopped by a Bailey’s Crossroads-area office park on Monday afternoon to drop off business cards when an ICE agent approached her vehicle with his firearm already drawn, pointing it at her through the driver’s side window while accusing her of trying to run agents over with her car.
No one in our community should have to fear unnecessary intimidation or excessive force from ICE. Those entrusted with enforcing our laws must do so with professionalism, transparency, and respect for the constitutional rights and dignity of every person.
Mason District is one of the most diverse communities in Fairfax County; one that we take pride in calling the cultural hub of our county. That diversity is one of our biggest strengths. We are stronger together, and every person deserves not only a seat at the table, but a voice at that same table.
As an immigrant and someone who has worked on immigration policy at the local, state, and federal levels, I have seen how decisions about immigration enforcement can impact families and entire communities. Those experiences have reinforced my belief that our immigration system must operate with accountability, fairness, and respect for the people it impacts.
Statement from Mason District Supervisor Andres Jimenez:
“What we saw in this video deserves answers,” said Supervisor Jimenez. “I will keep standing with our residents, making sure they know their rights, connecting them to resources, and demanding transparency and accountability when federal agents’ actions raise serious concerns.”
Supervisor Jimenez is calling on federal agencies operating in our community to give residents an honest accounting of what happened. “DHS’s version of events does not match the video, and residents can see that for themselves,” Jimenez said.
“Over the last several years, I’ve spoken with numerous constituents and community leaders about ICE’s visible presence in Mason District creating fear and unrest in our neighborhoods,” said Supervisor Jimenez. “This incident is not isolated; it’s part of a larger, dangerous pattern, and I’m calling on federal officials to end it.” “Mason District is a place where every resident deserves to live without fear, and I will keep fighting these injustices and demanding accountability until we see real change.”

Statement from FCDC on ICE Agent Drawing Firearm at Fairfax County Resident
Fairfax County, VA — The Fairfax County Democratic Committee (FCDC) is deeply troubled by video footage showing an ICE agent drawing and pointing a firearm at Carolina Molina, a Northern Virginia mother, during an encounter at Bailey’s Crossroads in Fairfax County.
Ms. Molina’s dashcam footage contradicts federal agents’ claims that she endangered them. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. This encounter reflects a broader pattern of escalation, intimidation, and questionable accounts surrounding immigration enforcement operations that communities in Northern Virginia and across the country have witnessed. When federal agents can point a loaded weapon at a U.S. citizen following a verbal exchange, and then make allegations about her conduct inconsistent with available video, our community’s safety and trust in federal law enforcement are both at risk.
FCDC stands with Ms. Molina and with every Fairfax County resident who has been affected by these operations. Our elected officials who represent Fairfax County, in Congress, Richmond and local government, have repeatedly raised concerns about immigration enforcement and been dogged in their oversight responsibilities.
We thank Congressman Beyer, whose district includes Bailey’s Crossroads, for immediately standing with Ms. Molina and demanding “answers and consequences” for what has occurred.
We join that call for accountability and urge federal authorities to conduct a full and transparent investigation into this incident, including the agent’s use of a firearm and the discrepancy between the government’s account and the available video. We also urge our neighbors to know their rights and document these encounters whenever it is safe to do so.

I think my life was in danger at that point. I don’t think I processed that in that moment. It wasn’t until after I was like this was a whole Renee Good situation again…I don’t know what life is right now to be completely honest, it just feels very overwhelming…I think it’s messed up. I just don’t think it’s fair that they can sit there and block somebody in and point a gun at your head and get away with it. I think they should be investigated and if their body cam was on then put it out there.”
